Privacy Policy

Last updated August 24, 2026. This describes how Bridgely collects, uses and protects your personal data.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to anyone who uses Bridgely: client companies and their team members, engineers (talent) applying to or working through the network, agency partners and their staff, and visitors to bridgely.dev. "Bridgely," "we" and "us" refer to the operator of the Bridgely platform.

Data we collect

Account and identity data: name, email, phone, password (hashed) or the identity your social sign-in provider gives us. Professional data (talent): work history, skills, education, certifications, rates, availability, resume content, portfolio and code-sample links, and results of our screening and verification process. Company data: company name, industry, hiring requirements, billing details and team member roles. Engagement data: contracts, timesheets, invoices, messages sent through the platform, and interview scheduling. Agency data: submitted candidate and team information, referral and commission records. Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and usage data collected automatically through cookies and similar technology.

How we use it

To create and secure your account; to match engineers to roles and companies to candidates; to run the screening and verification process described below; to administer engagements, timesheets, invoicing and payouts; to communicate with you about your account, applications, matches and engagements; to detect fraud and abuse; and to improve matching quality and the service generally.

AI and automated screening

Bridgely uses AI to help extract information from documents you submit (such as a resume or a hiring brief), to assist in ranking and summarizing candidates for a role, and, where applicable, as part of technical and communication assessments. AI assists this process; it is not the sole basis for admission to the network or for a hiring decision — outcomes that materially affect you are reviewed by a person before they're final. We'll tell you when a step in the process involves an AI-conducted or AI-evaluated interaction before you go through it.

Rate and compensation confidentiality

Client billing rates are never shared with engineers, and engineer payout rates and minimum acceptable compensation are never shared with clients. This isn't only a policy — access to this data is restricted at the database level, not just hidden in the interface.

Sharing and disclosure

We share a candidate's client-safe profile with a company only after that candidate has been presented for a specific role — companies do not get standing access to browse the full talent network. Agency partners see data for the talent and teams they've submitted, not Bridgely's broader network or other agencies' economics. We share data with service providers who help us run the platform — hosting and database infrastructure, email delivery, payment processing, and (if you choose to sign in that way) the OAuth provider you authenticate with — bound by contracts that limit their use of your data to providing that service. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, safety or property of Bridgely or others.

Signing in with Google

If you sign in using Google, that provider shares your name, email address and profile photo with us to create your account — we don't receive your password, and we only request the minimum information needed to identify you. You can review or revoke Bridgely's access from your Google account settings at any time, and you can disconnect a linked sign-in method from Bridgely's own Account → Connected Accounts page, as long as at least one working sign-in method remains on your account.

Cookies and similar technology

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your workspace preferences, and limited analytics cookies to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Data retention

We keep account and profile data for as long as your account is active. Engagement, timesheet, invoice and payout records are retained after account closure where we're required to for tax, accounting or contractual reasons. You can request deletion of your account from Account → Privacy in your settings; some records may be retained in de-identified or archived form as described there.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can access and correct most of your own data directly in your account settings, request an export, or request deletion from Account → Privacy. For anything else, contact us using the details below.

International data transfers

Bridgely operates a global network — talent, clients and agency partners may be located in different countries, and our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use providers and safeguards intended to protect it consistently with this policy.

Data security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls enforced at the database level, and restricted internal access to sensitive fields like compensation data. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

Children's privacy

Bridgely is not directed to, and does not knowingly collect personal data from, anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and update the date below. If a change is material, we'll make reasonable efforts to let account holders know before it takes effect.
